We strive for healthy dogs with healthy, sound temperaments. All breeding stock is certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
(www.offa.org) for hip and elbow clearances and the eyes are checked by CERf.
Certificates can be provided upon request and will be included with puppy papers to all buyers.
We are also listed on the Komondor Club of America's Breeder List where we must abide by the Breeder's Code of Ethics and meet their standards.
All puppies are home raised and are socialized with many different people, animals and environments!
They receive beginning crate training and grooming while still in our home.
You will find that most of the photos on this website are non show photos and there is a reason for that. We believe that our dogs are PETS first and foremost! What is the point of getting a show dog if you are not able to LIVE with it? We do not believe in kennel situations-you may see them elsewhere, but we don't think it would benefit our dogs. Our dogs are part of our family and they serve a purpose: companions and guardians. When they are not out being shown you can find them playing in the yard, lying on the floor and hanging out with my son and his friends. We hope that anyone considering purchasing a puppy from us would continue to treat their puppy just like it was treated here (not tied up in the back yard or living in the garage). We also believe that we are responsible for the puppies that we bring into this world from the Whelping Box to the Grave. That is one big part of being a Responsible Breeder. We are always available to help any part of our "extended family" with any problems and concerns that may arise with their new family member. It needs to understood from Day 1 that if, for any reason, you cannot keep your puppy, it needs to be returned to us.
We also urge anyone interested in owning a Komondor to do as much research as possible-including HOME VISITS with ADULT DOGS. All puppies are cute, but adult dogs are very large and are not Labradors with dreadlocks!! They are guardians whether they are guarding sheep, alpacas, ducks or you and your family; it doesn't matter to them-they take their jobs very seriously!!!
They say you don't have to be bigger or stronger than a Komondor, but you'd better be smarter.
Please go to the following websites to learn more about the Komondor:
One final thought-Please remember that RESPONSIBLE Breeders are not the ones filling the shelters, pounds and pet stores of the world. With all the Anti-dog Legislation out there (you can find all the current info on Anti-dog Legislation on the AKC website), PETA and other "Interest Groups" are trying to take away the rights of CARING, RESPONSIBILE BREEDERS. The Interest Groups are enlisting the help of Legislators and Politicians and are constructing dangerous Draconian bills that are passing all over the country!! The people that are at fault for these current situations are the people that feel they are ENTITLED to breed their dogs because they have "AKC papers" and they spent so much money buying their dogs and why shouldn't they make $$ on puppies as well. The Backyard "Breeders" do not normally do the health testing on their breeding stock and they tend not to care about the puppy after $$ has exchanged hands!! Do you want the next member of your family to come from a "breeder" that did no health testing or temperament testing on their breeding stock? Or didn't give careful consideration on who should be bred to whom in hopes of improving the breed? Do you want someone that will be there to help you if and when you have a question or issue with your puppy or dog?
That is why I am so choosy when selecting people that will be taking my puppies.
All pet quality puppies are sold on FIRM SPAY/NEUTER Contracts and all show puppies will be sold on STRICT CO-OWNERSHIPS. If you are not so choosy, then please go to local shelter or buy from another breeder.
